PARKING REGULATIONS
Student parking at East Lee County High School (ELCHS) is a privilege. If this privilege is abused, parking privileges will be revoked. Financial obligations MUST be resolved before purchasing a parking permit. All parking permit applications must be filled out completely, and applicants must show a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance at the time of purchase.

• Student may park in designated “student parking” areas only.
• Parking decal must be displayed on the lower driver’s side windshield facing outside.
• Sale or transfer of decals between students is prohibited.
• Inappropriate tags, bumper stickers, signs or flags are prohibited. This includes items that suggest profanity, advertise tobacco or drugs, or are inflammatory or offensive to a specific race, creed, or culture.
• For the safety of all students, a 5 mph speed limit will be strictly enforced on campus.
• Reckless driving will result in an immediate loss of parking privileges.
• Parking fee is non-refundable in the event of loss of privileges.
• There will be a $5.00 fee to replace lost parking tags.

ELCHS strives to maintain a safe and secure environment. Vehicle drivers and owners are reminded that drivers assume all responsibility for vehicles parked on campus, including damage or theft of vehicle or any items taken from vehicle. Students must have proper authorization to leave campus during the school day. Leaving campus without proper authorization will result in immediate loss of parking privileges.

All student vehicles parked on campus are subject to search. The Lee County Sheriff’s Department  K-9 unit will make frequent unannounced visits to our campus.

The ELCHS parking lot is a place for you to park your vehicle, loitering in the parking lot is unacceptable and consequences for doing so will issued in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
